Form One 2019 Selection
About 130,000 candidates from 17 regions who passed 2018 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) will have to wait a little longer before joining secondary education studies in public schools come January 2019 due to a shortage of classrooms. A total of 733,103 candidates passed 2018 primary school leaving exams, of whom 599,103 (81.76 per cent) won first selection enrollment to secondary education in public schools in January 2019. The Regions that managed full allocations of slots to form ones are Dar es Salaam, Geita, Kilimanjaro, Mtwara, Morogoro, Mwanza, Ruvuma, Singida, and Songwe . Speaking to reporters in Dar es Salaam on December 13th 2019, the Minister of State in the President’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government), Selemani Jafo, said 133,747 candidates who missed slots in the first selections will be considered for the second selection in 2019.
