Prominent businessman Said Lugumi has reported to the Home Affairs headquarters in Dar es Salaam after Minister Kangi Lugola summoned him. The minister had recently ordered that Mr Said Lugumi be delivered to him by July 31. The Lugumi Enterprises owner is being accused of failing to implement a lucrative project to install electronic fingerprint machines at district police stations. The minister issued the new order as he addressed reporters at Dar es Salaam offices after concluding an 11-day tour of various departments under his docket on July 21, 2018. Mr Lugola said that one of the directives he received from President John Magufuli was to resolve the Lugumi scandal. Lugumi who reported at 7a.m this morning, was seen entering the board room together with other ministerial officials to meet with the Minister.
